I’ve been working on my ideas of how I shoot women.
I’ve always been drawn to old movies. I am crazy about film noir –those dark mysteries with rough around the edge detectives, their smart and tart mouthed secretaries, and the beautiful-but-bad women dicks fall for. Think The Maltese Falcon, The Postman Always Rings Twice (the ORIGINAL please!) and Double Indemnity.
What can I say about those women? All absolutely stunning, some fast-talking, very very smart – not necessarily in that order. They were captured by the best photographers of the day on black-and-white film with the cleanest whites and cool blacks with looming shadows always adding that unmistakable air of “mystery and intrigue.” The essence of light and dark.
I chose to work in this venue with the intriguing Najash. Who will she seduce and lure into her web?
